On 14th September 2013, thirty five members of the Class of 63 - 69 and their guests met at Invercarse Hotel to celebrate fifty years since they began their secondary education at Harris Academy. The School Captains, Lesley Mackie and Donald Findlay, cut the cake which was made and decorated by Hazel (McPherson) and Tom Ireland who met whilst pupils at Harris Academy and have been happily married for forty years. Also present were the Vice-Captains, Catherine (McCron) Dent and Alan Donnet. Alan was the furthest travelled, having flown from Hong Kong for the weekend. Many others from outwith Dundee were present, and in some cases it was their first visit back to their home town for forty years. A buffet meal was enjoyed by all and then the rest of the evening was spent reminiscing and renewing old friendships. Lots of happy memories were shared, and plans were made to meet again, perhaps once the School re-opens.
